ELECTRIC MUSIC NO. 1  (1979)
Moog Synthesizer on Magnetic Tape — [3 mins]

Notes

This pre-computer Electrocoustic work was created at the original Electronic Music Center at the University of California at Berkeley.  Individual sounds were recorded, and then manipulated in the "old fashion way." This includes looping, overdubbing, and splicing the tape in a number of ways to get different effects that are now done on our telephones while we're driving our cars!    This is the way the Electrocoustic pioneers did it: Bulent Arel, Milton Babbitt, etc.  ELECTRIC MUSIC NO. 1 is a very short piece, a brief and consise statement.
